HERE COMES THE SUN!
"Solen" means "the sun" in Swedish. In December, 2020, as we were close to finishing our design of the third Mission watch, we looked for inspiration. Inspiration arrived in the form of colour. Not just any colour, but one specific bright, shiny, new colour. A colour that shines brilliantly on everything it touches. Pantone picked Illuminating Yellow as their 2021 color of the year and we couldn’t agree more that 2021 needs bright, brilliant, sunshine-y yellow. Illuminating Yellow, the yellow to light the way on a bright new year.
After the year that was 2020, we are all in favor of a year with illumination as the theme.
The Mission Solen is about light. It’s a watch you can wear to the beach. Water-resistant to 200 meters and with a screw-down crown and unidirectional bezel, it’s a watch you can and should wear diving, surfing, and swimming.
It’s a watch that you’ll love to wear when you’re out playing in the sun and the stunning Illuminating Yellow dial will remind you of sunnier times even when things appear dark.
Because after the night, the sun always rises.
